Qiqi's Story of Self-Love

The BetterSelf Programme has helped me to pick up self-confidence and self-love.

Picking up from almost none, just the tiny bit from the start gave me some courage amid the great fears of going for a job interview which landed me a job that suits me.

Problems may arise daily, but I can better discern the situation instead of fixing on self reproach and belittle myself.

This picture that I drew serves as a reminder to myself to continue building this strength and wisdom.

The red hachimaki I wore on my head symbolises my determination and perseverance in the face of challenge.

The budding flower of love in my hands embodies the self-love and confidence that I very much lack.

The light faded growth of the flower and the dim hearts surrounding me represents the growth that I want, but have not achieved.

It will be an immensely long journey full of setbacks and tears, but I am thankful for the community of BetterSelf to reach out when I need. ❤️
